Vietnamese Doctors' Day traces its origins to February 27, 1955, when President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter to the Medical Staff Conference, urging healthcare workers to unite in their work, care for patients with compassion, and wholeheartedly contribute to the development of Vietnamese medicine. Due to the profound significance of this letter, in 1985, the Party and the State designated February 27th as Vietnamese Doctors' Day. This day not only honors doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals but also emphasizes the responsibility and mission of advancing Vietnam's medical field.

To be a distinguished healthcare professional, one must possess invaluable qualities such as a strong sense of responsibility, a commitment to patient care, and a dedication to advancing medical knowledge and treatments. Beyond technical expertise, an excellent physician must empathize with patients, providing emotional support and encouragement throughout their treatment journey.
